Roush Fenway Racing Driver Carl Edwards participated in the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 race at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, April 8, racing the No. 60 Ford Mustang.

Carl had the pole and led for 169 out of 200 laps. At the end of lap 200, Carl crossed the finish line to the checkered flag, 0.482 seconds in front of Brad Keselowski.  With this win, Carl has now won two races in a row at the Texas Motor Speedway. It is also the first win for a Ford Mustang in the Nationwide series this year. 

The next night at Texas Motor Speedway, Carl participated in the NASCAR Sprint series Samsung Mobile 500 by driving the No. 99 Ford Fusion.  Carl raced to a third place finish in the 334 lap race.

Carl will drive the World Financial Group (WFG) No. 60 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Nov. 12 at the Phoenix International Raceway in Avondale, Ariz.
