Content Moderation Policy for Company Blogs
DISCUSSION GUIDELINES
We encourage lively, informed debate and the open exchange of information. That said, we know that people are passionate about their sports teams. And from time to time, there will be differences of opinion. We are committed to providing an environment where these differing points of view can coexist.
We’ve developed discussion guidelines to encourage respectful dialogue. Before you get started, take a few minutes to review the rules of the road.
To submit material, you must register as a site user and login to the website. When you register, you will need to share some personal information with us. This will help us verify your identity and help us administer the site. We have posted our Privacy Statement that you can review When you register and post to the site, you consent to World Financial Group to reproduce and/or publish any post (in complete or edited form) on other WFG websites and in company-produced publications.
When posting, please:
- Ensure you address the discussion forum topic.
- Identify yourself by your screen name.
- Respect the views of others.
Our moderators review all material prior to posting to ensure the comments are relevant to the discussion at hand and that they meet the guidelines outlined here. All comments are generally reviewed and posted on the site within 1 to 2 days. Comments received on a Friday will be reviewed on the following Monday.
Postings may be edited for reasons of space, clarity, to remove offensive or unlawful content, and to avoid repetition. The forum moderator reserves to right to edit or modify content to comply with the forum guidelines. By submitting content, you are agreeing to comply with forum rules, including possible edits or modifications by the moderator if needed. If you do not wish to subject your comments any edits or modifications to uphold the rules of the forum, you may wish to seek another forum.
Respect your audience. Do not use ethnic slurs, personal insults, obscenity and so on. Show proper consideration for others’ privacy and for topics that may be considered objectionable or inflammatory – such as politics and religion. Content that is threatening; menacing; harassing; abusive; defamatory; indecent; infringes any person's intellectual property rights, including copyrights; impersonates anyone, misrepresents a relationship with any person or organization; encourages others to commit unlawful acts; or is unlawful in any way; will NOT be posted.
The following types of posting are also not permitted:
Repetitive Messages, including cross-posting, flooding, and spamming
Messages not related to the forum topic
Messages of excessive length (more than 1,000 words)
Viruses, files, or potentially harmful code
Advertising, promotions, self-promotions, spam, or similar material
We also reserve the right to reject posts that direct readers to third-party websites.
Avoid breaches of privacy: Please don’t include any personal information, including e-mail addresses, belonging to you or others in your posts.
MODERATION PRINCIPLES
All postings will be reviewed by a moderator prior to publication. The following are the principles that will be followed by our moderators.
• Postings will be rejected if a moderator believes they do not meet the Discussion Guidelines or are inappropriate for the site.
• The moderator's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Postings will generally be published to the site within 1 to 2 working days after they have been authenticated. Posts received on a Friday will be processed on the Mondays.
• Postings may be edited if the moderator considers it necessary in order to meet the Discussion Guidelines described above.
• Moderators may also edit and/or divide a posting if necessary to improve the usability of the forum.
