The World Financial Group (WFG) Leadership Conference 2011, hosted at the Westin Los Angeles Airport hotel on April 11 and 12, was deemed a great success.  During the two-day event, WFG’s EMD and higher field leaders from across the United States and Canada met to discuss leadership responsibilities, company goals, including WFG’s campaign to achieve 100,000 new recruits in 2011, as well as other key announcements.

Among the speakers were Joe DiPaola, President and CEO of World Financial Group, Inc, Scott Ham, President and CEO of Transamerica Life and Protection, Rick Williams, President of World Financial Group Insurance Agency of Canada, Inc., Jack Linder, World Financial Group Chairman of the Board.  Board of Directors members Rich Thawley, Xuan Nguyen, Ed Mylett, Monte Holm and EVC Réal Michaud led discussions on what associates should do to help build field leaders and their WFG businesses. Kent Davies, WFG’s VP of Sales and Marketing served as emcee for the exciting recognition portion of the event.

WFG Review asked some of the attendees to provide feedback about the World Financial Group (WFG) Leadership Conference and we heard from EVC Jun Dela Cruz, who called this conference, “A meeting that will redefine our business model for years to come.” 

CEO MD Darren Golka noted, “I took away the commitment AEGON and WFG has to our business.  They are doing everything to help our business succeed.” 

CEO MD Corey Michaud echoed those sentiments.  “It was good to see field leadership and the home office working together.  This gave me more confidence in the leadership of World Financial Group.”

Corey’s father, EVC Réal Michaud, found the conference to have a lot of synergy.  “This was a key moment in time for World Financial Group.  I am more excited than ever to be in the right place at the right time with WFG,” Réal said.
