World Financial Group (WFG) Associate Crystal Cartwright will host a benefit for Imagine Colorado on Saturday, April 23 at the Mile High Station in Denver, Colorado.  The benefit, which is open to the public, includes a silent and live auction and a dinner with tickets starting at $50.  Click here to view more details about the event and how to purchase tickets.

Imagine Colorado, established in 1963, is a private, not-for-profit organization that creates and offer innovative resources for people of all ages with cognitive, developmental, physical and health-related needs so they can live independent, fulfilling lives in their homes and communities.

When asked why Crystal chose Imagine Colorado as the beneficiary for this event, she explained, “I have a child with Autism that will be 11 years old this year, so I have been in the special needs community working actively as chair of many committees for the last eight years.  [Imagine Colorado has] a project known as the Smart Home Project that provides living space opportunity to allow adults with cognitive disabilities to have independent living.  They were the first to see this issue and do something about it. They are a top notch non-profit in planning and doing for the community and the families they serve.”

Items up for auction at the event will include tickets to local Denver sporting events, opportunities for massage therapy, gift cards from various local restaurants, tuition for dance schools and karate studios, make up from MAC cosmetics, and hot air balloon rides.  One item in particular up for bidding is close to Crystal’s heart, “It’s a canvas original painting of an Eagle with an inspirational saying.  This is being contributed from a dear friend of mine with Autism that graduated college and makes a living with his art.  I can’t wait for the live Auction because of that piece alone!  It’s gorgeous!”

In addition to the auctions and dinner, there will be live entertainment by local singing group Fever Pitch. Among their members are WFG associate Sara Walter and her fiancée.  Sara, a contra-alto, has been singing for most of her life and is very excited to be performing for this occasion.  When asked what Fever Pitch will be performing, Sara, whose influences range from Ella Fitzgerald to Sheryl Crow to Linda Ronstadt, told us to expect songs from the last fifty years.
